Privacy Policy
DimeDock ("DimeDock," "we," "our," or "us"), operated by DopeTech Labs, is a personal finance management application available on the web and on Android. This Privacy Policy describes the categories of information we collect, how we use and protect it, the parties we may share it with, your choices, and how to contact us. By using DimeDock, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
Scope and Acceptance
This Privacy Policy applies to the DimeDock mobile application, website, and related support channels (collectively, the "Service"). It does not apply to third-party products, websites, or services that may be linked to or integrated with the Service, which are governed by their own privacy policies.
By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you should not use the Service.
Information We Collect
We collect and process the following categories of information when you use DimeDock:
- Account and profile data: such as email address, display name, profile image (if you provide one), email-verification status, and other information you choose to add to your profile.
- Authentication data: such as cryptographically hashed credentials, sign-in tokens (including tokens issued by third-party sign-in providers such as Google Sign-In), verification codes, session identifiers, and related authentication metadata.
- Financial tracking data you enter: such as accounts, transactions, categories, tags, budgets, savings goals, warranties, recurring items, automation rules, reports, and other related metadata that you create within the Service.
- Subscription and purchase data: such as product identifiers, purchase tokens, subscription status, renewal, cancellation, and payment-state metadata that we receive from app stores or payment providers when you purchase a subscription.
- Device and technical data: such as device and installation identifiers, operating-system type and version, application version, language, timezone and timezone offset, push-notification tokens, and similar identifiers used for security, fraud prevention, push delivery, and core app functionality. We do not use advertising identifiers to serve advertising.
- Usage and diagnostic data: such as app events, screen views, feature usage, performance metrics, crash logs, and other diagnostic information used to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
- Communications: such as the contents of emails or other messages you send to us, and related metadata.
Some of these categories may not apply depending on how you use the Service and the platform you use it on.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Provide, maintain, and deliver the features of the Service.
- Authenticate users, manage sessions, and protect accounts.
- Process and verify subscription purchases and entitlements.
- Deliver reminders, notifications, and service-related communications you have not opted out of.
- Secure the Service, detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and policy violations, and enforce our Terms.
- Understand how the Service is used and improve its reliability, performance, accessibility, and features.
- Respond to support requests, feedback, and other communications.
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and lawful requests, and to exercise or defend legal claims.
Service Providers and Sharing
We do not sell your personal or financial data, and we do not share it with advertising networks or data brokers for advertising purposes.
To operate the Service, we share limited information with trusted third-party service providers that act on our behalf, including providers of hosting and infrastructure, authentication and identity, payment and subscription billing (including the operators of the app stores through which you purchase subscriptions), push-notification delivery, analytics and crash diagnostics, customer support, and email delivery. These providers — which may include Google and its affiliates and other industry-standard vendors — are bound by contractual or platform obligations to process information only as needed to provide their services to us.
We may also disclose information when we believe in good faith that doing so is necessary to comply with applicable law or legal process; to enforce our Terms or other agreements; to protect the rights, property, or safety of DimeDock, our users, or the public; in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar corporate transaction; or with your consent or at your direction.
International Data Processing
DimeDock is operated by DopeTech Labs. Information we collect may be stored and processed in the United States, in the European Economic Area, and in other countries where we or our service providers maintain facilities. The data-protection laws in these countries may differ from those in your country. Where required by law, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. These include encryption in transit over HTTPS/TLS, cryptographic hashing of credentials, encrypted local session storage on supported platforms, access controls for personnel, monitoring, and routine review of our security practices.
No method of transmission over the internet, no method of electronic storage, and no security control is 100% secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for any activity that occurs under your account.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. After deletion or deactivation, we may retain certain information for additional periods as permitted or required by law, including for backup and disaster-recovery purposes, security and abuse-prevention, audit and accounting, payment, billing, tax, chargeback handling, dispute resolution, and to comply with legal obligations or enforce our agreements.
Aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be linked to you may be retained and used for legitimate business purposes without further notice.
Your Choices and Rights
You have the following choices regarding your information:
- Review and update your profile and the financial data you have entered using the in-app interface.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to verification and applicable legal exceptions.
- Control notifications by adjusting in-app notification preferences and your operating-system notification settings.
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format where this functionality is available; where it is not yet available, you may contact us to request an export, which we will provide where technically feasible and subject to verification.
Depending on where you live (including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and California), you may have additional rights, such as the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information; the right to data portability; the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@dopetechlabs.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and certain requests may be subject to legal exceptions.
Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your account at any time using the process described on our Account Deletion page. Some information may be retained after deletion as described in the "Data Retention" section, including for legal, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, and backup-cycle reasons.
Deleting your DimeDock account does not automatically cancel any active subscription billed by an app store (such as Google Play). You must cancel active subscriptions through the relevant store before or after deleting your account to avoid further charges.
Children's Privacy
DimeDock is not directed to children under the age of 13, or the higher minimum age required in your jurisdiction (such as 16 in parts of the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from such children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us at support@dopetechlabs.com and we will take appropriate steps to remove that information.
Third-Party Links and Services
The Service may contain links to, or be used together with, third-party websites, applications, app stores, identity providers, operating-system push-notification services, and other services that we do not control. Your use of those third-party services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we may provide additional notice, such as by posting a notice within the Service or by sending you an email where appropriate. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of an updated policy constitutes your acceptance of that policy.
